This expressive painting is an abstract interpretation of a tree against a landscape. The central element, a white tree figure with hints of a trunk and branches, seems to be cut out of a dense lilac-violet mass of sky, creating the effect of evening twilight or shadow. The lower part of the composition, painted with thick brushstrokes of green, pink and brown, symbolizes the grassy soil and flowering undergrowth.

The painting is distinguished by its pronounced texture and free manner of painting, in which brush movements and emotional spontaneity prevail. The lack of detail and blurred contours give the work a sense of dreaminess, an almost fairy-tale silence in which the presence of the tree is felt despite its unfilled form.

The work can be perceived as a meditation on memory, emptiness or invisible presence in nature. The white "absence" of the tree is perhaps a metaphor for disappearance or memory that has left its mark on the surrounding space. The background seems to continue to speak for the form, emphasizing its importance and centrality, despite the physical absence of color in it.
